MAC Joint

Family of the Quarter

The Havelock Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee recently showed appreciation to
one of our military personnel for their dedication to the military and their community.
We would like to congratulate Sergeant Stephen L. Foster, Marine Air Control Squadron 2
for being selected as this quarters Military Person of the Quarter.

Sgt. Foster had superior performance as the Marine Air Control Squadron 2 Training Clerk
from August 2006 to February 2007. He provided continuity and detailed knowledge to aid in the
accomplishment of annual and pre-deployment training for a squadron of over 500 Marines
at a time when there has been rapid turnover.
He has a positive “can do” attitude that has led to the betterment of the unit.

Sgt. Foster spends nearly all of his non-working hours as a volunteer firefighter at the
Havelock Fire Department.  Contributing to over 100 hours per week, since June 2006,
he is committed to helping the community. He has aided the many citizens of Havelock in dire
times when help was most needed., responding to over 400 calls from the community related to
fires, car accidents, and other emergency medical situations.  He continues to improve his ability
to aid others by taking firefighting and emergency medical technician courses.

Sgt. Foster throughout his assignment has been the epitome of an exemplary Marine and
his daily actions are proof positive of his devotion to the
Marine Corps and to the community of Havelock.

Thank you Sgt. Stephen Foster for the support you share
not only for your country but to your community.
Congratulations for being selected as the Military Person of the Quarter.
